The Therapy Process
Consultation Call: We will begin by scheduling a free 15-minute consultation call. This will give you the chance to ask questions and get a sense of what it would be like to work with me. It will also give me a chance to learn more about your therapy goals and determine if I would be a good fit.
Intake Appointment: Next, we’ll schedule an intake appointment. This will be a 60-minute session where I will learn more about your background, mental health history, and therapy goals. This will help us create a treatment plan.
Therapy: Afterwards, we will schedule a time to meet weekly for therapy. Sessions are 50 minutes long and occur through a secure video platform. With your permission, my support may also include coordinating with family members, other providers, or teachers to provide additional support.
Insurance
I am an out-of-network provider, meaning I do not process insurance claims. However, I will provide you with a monthly super bill which will enable you to seek reimbursement with your insurance provider. Reimbursement rates vary by your insurance plan and annual deductible. If you intend to seek reimbursement for therapy from your insurance, I strongly encourage you to call the phone number on the back of your insurance card ahead of treatment to ask about their coverage for telehealth therapy, their per session out-of-network reimbursement rate, your annual deductible, and the number of sessions covered per year.
